What is this place?

Glad you asked. This is Ohkult.com a place where a group of expert amateur curse experts gather to document the unseen world of vengeful spirits, long dead wraiths and other super natural occurences within various Japanese Horror (J-horror) films!

Our team of researchers have noted a potential threat these curses can inflict onto mankind and we are here to document our findings on both the curses that threaten us and the sorcerers who fight to protect humanity.

What's with these numbers on the home page? What are Grades?

In order to properly categorize the curses and sorcerers we encounter we use a grading system that goes as follows:

Sorcerers

  • Grade 4 - Sorcerer that is useless and has no skills.
  • Grade 3 - Sorcerer that can defend themselves from curses. Likely to lose.
  • Grade 2 - Above-average level for a sorcerer.
  • Grade 1 - Sorcerers that have more than one technique to combat curse. Uphold the standard.
  • Special Grade - Sorcerers that are the strongest of the Strongest.

Curses

  • Grade 4 - Curses are harmless curses which could also just be mental illness.
  • Grade 3 - Curse that can at least harm or kill their targets.
  • Grade 2 - Curse threat on the level of a public shooting or car accident.
  • Grade 1 - Curse that is equivalent local disaster.
  • Special Grade - Curse that is a country wide threat on the level of a natural disaster you cant stop.

What's the qualifier to make it onto this site?

We at Ohkult are focused on Japanese horror first and foremost (we hope to expand outwards soon) but there is a single qualification for us to investigate

Any media we investigate must have involve some supernatural curse.

Not everything we investigate have both curses and sorcerers but they will always at least involve a curse

How often do you guys update this site?

That's the fun part, it depends! Occult research doesn't pay bills so we investigate whenever we're able to get time together to do so

You can expect updates throughout the year so check back whenever. But expect most of our findings to be posted during the month of October due to the rise in spiritual energy

Hey I think I may have experienced a cursed encounter how do I tell you guys in order to investigate?

If you're still alive to tell us then you probably came by a Grade 4 curse which are of no concern. But in the event it was anything above that, then you can use the last few precious moments of your life remaining to shoot us an email at ohkult_team@proton.me!
